Comfortable, carefully fitted contact lenses.
Many people like the idea of contact lenses, but worry about comfort, dryness, or whether they’ll suit their eyes or lifestyle.
At Ladybrook Opticians, contact lenses are fitted carefully and thoughtfully, with time to understand what you’re hoping for and what’s likely to work best for you.
Whether you’re new to contact lenses, returning after a break, or have been told they’re not suitable in the past, we take a calm, individual approach.
Comfortable contact lens wear depends on getting the fit right — and that means understanding the shape and behaviour of your eyes, not just your prescription.
When clinically helpful, we use corneal topography to look more closely at the surface of the eye. This allows us to:
- Assess lens fit more accurately
- Reduce trial and error
- Improve comfort and stability
- Support long-term eye health
Advanced measurements are used thoughtfully, only when they genuinely add value, and always explained clearly.

There isn’t a single “best” contact lens — the right option depends on your eyes, your routine, and what matters most to you.
We offer a wide range of contact lens options, including:

Ortho-K (Overnight
Vision Correction)
Overnight lenses that gently reshape the front of the eye, allowing clear vision during the day without glasses or lenses. In some cases, Ortho-K may also form part of a myopia management approach for children.

Multifocal
Contact Lenses
Designed to provide clear vision at distance, intermediate, and near. These may suit people over 40 who want greater freedom from reading glasses.

Daily
Disposables
Simple, hygienic, and convenient. Daily lenses are a popular choice for occasional or full-time wearers who want minimal maintenance.

Rigid Gas
Permeable Lenses
These lenses can offer particularly crisp vision and may be suitable for more complex prescriptions, such as high astigmatism or keratoconus.

Reusable (Fortnightly/ Monthly) Lenses
Fortnightly and monthly lenses can be a cost-effective option for regular wearers, with a simple cleaning routine.

Toric Soft
Contact Lenses
Specifically designed for astigmatism, helping provide stable, consistent vision.
Dryness and discomfort are common reasons people stop wearing contact lenses.
If lenses feel uncomfortable, it doesn’t always mean contact lenses aren’t right for you.
Often, it’s a sign that the underlying cause of dryness needs addressing.
Where appropriate, we can assess eye comfort and tear stability and discuss whether dry eye care may help improve comfort and tolerance for contact lenses.

Whether you’re considering contact lenses for the first time, returning after a break, need a routine aftercare or exploring more specialist options, we’re happy to help.
